Elsie Jeanett Rhoads, 75, of Martinsville, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at her residence.
She was born at Wilmington on Jan. 30, 1937, the daughter of the late Albert and Esther (Constant) Brannon. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Joann Brannon.
She had been a cashier for Kroger and Bob & Carl’s.
She is survived by her husband Eugene Rhoads, whom she married on Oct. 1, 1955; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike Rhoads of St. Martin, Mark Rhoads of Sabina, Steve and Lori Rhoads of Madison, Ga. and Bruce and Khaya Rhoads of Blanchester; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry Brannon and James and Shirley Brannon, all of New Vienna; two sisters, Esther Ann Spence of Xenia and Shirley Corando of California; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Thomas Garlock officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from noon till 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
