Elmira Russell Britton

Elmira Russell Britton, 83, of Chillicothe went to be a guest of our Lord June 2, 2012.
She was born July 5, 1928, to the late Clarence and Martha Kerns Russell.
On Nov. 2, 1947, she married Ernest Britton who preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 2001.
Elmira retired as a nursing assistant at the Medical Center after 21 years and sold Stanley Products for many years.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Jean Parr of Hillsboro; sons, Terry Lee (Bonnie) of Hillsboro, Tony Wayne (Jana) of Kingston, and Tim Russell (Gloria) of Washington C.H.; brothers, Francis, Dale, Don, and Gordon Russell; sisters, Dolly Stultz, Barbara Helsel, and Peggy Litter; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Shaw and Josie Shaw; brothers, George, Ray, Clarence "Bud" Russell; a son-in-law, Willard Parr, Jr.; and a grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10 at the Hill Funeral Home in Kingston with Pastor T.J. Britton (her grandson) officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hallsville Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hill Funeral Home in Kingston from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, June 9.
Memorials may be made to the Hallsville Community U.M. Church.
