Ellen Louise Brannen
Ellen Louise Brannen, 72, of Hillsboro died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 29, 1940 in Dayton, the daughter of the late George R. and Ruth Bailey Jones.
Mrs. Brannen was a homemaker and had worked with her husband on the farm.
She is survived by her husband, Layton Brannen, whom she married on Aug. 17, 1963 in Wilmington; one sister, Judy Woolum of Dayton; two brothers, Louis (Charlotte) Jones of Anchorage, Alaska and Paul (Donette) Jones of Iowa; two nieces, Nancy Perea of Seward, Alaska, and Amber Barrett of Miamisburg; three nephews, Charles Barrett of Miamisburg, Sean Jones of North Carolina, and Nick Jones of Missouri; two grand-nieces, Kayla Rhoades of Miamisburg and Chelsey Olesiuk of Seward, Alaska; and six grand-nephews, Cody Barrett of Dayton, Seth Crow of Miamisburg, Brack Barrett of Miamisburg, Justin Dillworth of Miamisburg, Eddy Olesiuk of Seward, Alaska and Aiden Perea of Seward, Alaska.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant daughters and one infant son; two sisters, Leah Matheny and Georgia Jones; and one brother, Richard Jones.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Coss Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
