Elizabeth A. Hyer, 94, formerly of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 in Kent, Ohio.
She was born Oct. 26, 1917 to F.L. and Charlotte (Davidson) Brown in Greenfield.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield and attended the Kent United Methodist Church. She was a 1935 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School and was a longtime employee of the Greenfield Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Gary (Sue Etta) Harvey of Kent and Robert (Nancy) Harvey of Greensboro, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Marsha (Robert) Williams of Dayton and Karen Burt of Springfield, Ohio; four grandsons; two granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; and one niece, Charlotte Phillips of Greenfield.
She was preceded by her parents; husband, W. Eugene Hyer; and two sisters, Sarah Duncan and Lillian Gossett.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Greenfield Cemetery with Rev. Terry Washburn officiating.
There will be no visitation observed.
