Eleanor Margaret Smith, 85, of Hillsboro, formerly of Greenfield, died Feb. 11, 2010 at Highland District Hospital.
She was born Oct. 6, 1924 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle (Grieves) Bennett.
She was a real estate broker and a member of the Save the Lake Association.
She was survived by one son, Danny Smith, of Tybee Island, Ga.; three grandchildren, Tony (Tina) Smith of Springboro; Brian (Lisa) Smith of Springboro; and Leigh (Donnie) Yates of Greenfield; eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Emmaline, and Mallory Smith, Parker, Conner, and Elena Smith and Camden and Emerson Yates; plus several nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Smith, Sr., on April 23, 1997; one son, Elton Smith, Jr.; one sister, Juanita Grubbs; and one brother, Gilbert Bennett. 
Services will be held Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, Feb. 15 from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
