Edward Paul Amshoff, 79, of Hillsboro died Frida,y Feb. 4, 2011 at the Heartland of Hillsboro. 
He was born February 15, 1931 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Harry and Flora Lehmkuhl Amshoff. 
Mr. Amshoff had retired after 34 years of service with Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company. He was a U. S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the AmVets Post #61. 
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Minor Amshoff whom he had married on January 6, 1951 in Winton Place; one sister, Marietta Heupal of Covington, Ky.; three brothers, Louis Amshoff of Harrison, Ronald Amshoff of West Chester, and Ralph (Marilyn) Amshoff of Whiteoak; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death also by two brothers, Raymond and Richard Amshoff; and one sister, Rita Schmitt. 
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Mike Paraniuk at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. 
Friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
