Earl Edward "Ponch" Steward, 42, of Greenfield, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at his home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1969, in Highland County, to Earl Edward "Fox" Steward and Judith (Stodgel) Steward.
He worked for the Village of Greenfield in the Street Department and was a former factory employee.
He is survived by three sons, Alec, Aries, and Atom Steward of Greenfield; former wife, Melinda Butcher Steward; father, Earl Edward "Fox" Steward of Lebanon; mother, Judith (Stodgel) Vansickle Lopez of Naples, Fla.; stepfather, Jose Lopez of Naples, Fla.; three sisters, Tonita Hundley of Naples, Fla., Angela Lewis of Wilmington and Demi Steward, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Larry "Joe" Stodgel of North Carolina and Robbie Long of Greenfield; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, including a special uncle, Dan Bishop of Naples, Fla.; and a host of special friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lamar Gillenwater; grandparents, Earl "Squirrely" and Anna (Ford) "Tootie" Steward and Harold and Mabel Steward.
Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
