Duane Miller

Duane Miller, 81, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at his home.
He was born Aug. 4, 1931 in Penn Township, the son of the late Noel H. “Mose” and Jeannette Mercer Miller.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War.
Duane loved his family and friends, and the many customers that he served during his 57 years of barbering at “The Club” Barber Shop in Hillsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jane Henderson Miller; children, Angela Miller of Columbus, Stacey (Allen) Blevins of Hillsboro, and Ryan (Penny) Miller of Hillsboro; step-daughter Debbie Evans of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Austin Miller, Hunter Tira, Amanda Blevins, and DJ Gillman; great-grandchildren, Abigail Moore and Mason Moore; sister-in-law Doris Kelch of Hillsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Jones Miller; and brother, Robert Miller.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home. The Highland County Honor Guard will accord military honors at the funeral home. Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
