Dorothy Irene Roush, 85, of Lynchburg, died Monday, June 25, 2012 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

She was born in Richmond, Ky. on Feb. 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Grover C. and Mary (Bryant) Richardson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Roush, in 1998; one great-granddaughter, Courtney Nicole Roush; and several brothers and sisters.

She was a member of the New Vienna Church of Christ, attended Leesburg Church of Christ and was a 40-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Leonard "Rick" and Jo Ann Roush, Sr. of Hillsboro and Terry and Michelle Roush, Sr. of Lynchburg; three grandsons, Terry (Brandy) Roush, Jr. of Lynchburg, Rick Roush, Jr. of Milford and Jason Roush of Boston, Mass., three great-grandchildren; one sister, Charity Lakes of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday from 11 a.m. till time of services at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
