Doris L. Meddock, 71, of Peebles, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Riverside Methodist Church in Columbus.
She was born Oct. 13, 1940 in Kenton, the daughter of the late Herley and Faye (Caplinger) Gibson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Meddock on Sept. 8, 2008; one son, Rocky Gibson; and one grandson, Marcus Meddock.
She is survived by her stepfather, Role Nichols of Piketon; two sons and daughter-in-law, Charles "Jeff" Meddock of Peebles and Brian T. and Becky Meddock of Peebles; four daughters and sons-in-law, Penny Music of Peebles, Tammy and Don Music of Hillsboro, Robin and Don Click of Peebles and Tanya "Nikki" Meddock of Peebles; two brothers, David Gibson of Piketon and Gary Gibson of Springfield; three sisters, Judy Luersman of Texas, Diana Nichols of Piketon and Brenda Nichols of Piketon; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
Pastor Greg Roberts will officiate with burial to follow in the Washburn Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
