Donna L. Meddock, 64, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at her residence.
She was born in Hillsboro on May 26, 1947, the daughter of the late Charlie C. and Ruby Jean (Wilkin) Harrison.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Marcella Bayless.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church and had retired from Oakland Nursing Center where she had worked as the dietary supervisor.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Meddock, whom she married on Dec. 19, 1965; two sons and daughter-in-law, Doug and Michelle Meddock of Hillsboro, and Bradley Meddock of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Michael, Cordell, Shane, Lauren and Patrick Meddock; one sister, Janice Meddock of Hillsboro; two brothers-in-law, Merlin Meddock of Sabina, and Danny Meddock of Wilmington; one sister-in-law, Marcia Brownlee of Dayton, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church, 6360 U.S. 50 west, Hillsboro/ The Rev. Richard Burns will officiate with burial to follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Hillsboro Freewill Baptist Church.
The Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
