Donald L. Barr, 52, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 20, 1959 in Clinton County, the son of Richard Barr and the late Mary Lou (Allen) Barr.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hillsboro and was employed at R&L Transport in Wilmington.
Besides his father, he is survived by one brother, John Barr of Hillsboro; three aunts, Boots Graybill of Medway, Betty Bracken of Peebles and Nancy Evans of West Union; two nieces, Latisha Barr and Nikki Barr, both of Hillsboro; two nephews, Eric Barr of Wilmington and Ryan Barr of Hillsboro; and five great nieces and nephews, Damien Frye, Austin Doll, Caleb Barr, Kaylie Barr and Mia Barr.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with John Dobbins officiating.
Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
