Dean Messick Waddell, 90, of Mount Dora, Fla., passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 at his home.
He was born March 2, 1921 in Greenfield, the son of Dean Taylor and Geneva (Messick) Waddell.
He retired from Waddell Showcase Manufacturing of Greenfield.
He is survived by two sons, Castner R. (Anne) Waddell of Mount Dora, Fla.; Dean (Sylvia) Waddell of Farmers Branch, Texas; six grandchildren, Brandan Waddell, Monica Preston, Adrian Trevino, Andrea Waddell and Christian and Alexander Waddell; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne (Rolfe) Waddell in November 2001; one brother, George Waddell in January 2010 and both parents.
Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 in the Greenfield Cemetery with Rev. Jim Groves officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Epiphany Anglican Church, 1724 S. Bay Street, Eustis, Fla. 32726 or any local Hospice of choice.
