David A. Watts, 71, of Greenfield, Ohio died March 22, 2010 at Ohio State
University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born February 16, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of S. Leonard and
Edna (Ronemus) Watts.
Mr. Watts was a 1956 graduate of Fairfield High School in Leesburg and enjoyed a 33-year teaching career at Buckskin Valley High School and with the Greenfield Exempted Village School District, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield, the Leesburg
Free & Accepted Masons Lodge #78, the Greenfield Rotary Club, and was a
volunteer with the Greenfield Area Life Squad for 17 years.
Mr. Watts is survived by his wife, Sara L. (Zurface) Watts, whom he married
August 30, 1963; two sons, John (Jamie) Watts of Carroll, Ohio and Don
(Ruth) Watts of Florence, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Robby, Morgan,
Katherine, Mary and Sara; one brother-in-law, Robert F. (Marie) Zurface of
Greenfield; and a cousin, Dee (Jim) Leierzaph of Port St. Lucie, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 26 at the First Presbyterian Church of
Greenfield with Rev. John Quist, Rev. Clint Tolbert and Rev. Joe Current
officiating and burial at Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield from 4 to 8
p.m. Thursday, March 25, where Masonic services will conclude the
visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the David A. Watts
