David Michael Fullmer, 67, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at the Chillicothe V.A. Medical Center.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1945 in Dayton, the son of David Paul and Margaret Elaine (Brown) Fullmer.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, during which he served five tours, earning one Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars, Vietnam service medal and numerous other commendations and medals. He retired Feb. 2, 2005 from Wright Patterson Air Force Base with 28 years of service and was a member of F&AM.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. (Purdin) Fullmer, whom he married on Sept. 24, 1978; three daughters, Kimberly, Lisa and Tammy, all of Panama City, Fla.; one son, Michael (Pam) Fullmer of Bloomingdale, Ill.; one stepson, Michael R. (Deanna) Seely of Greenfield; one stepdaughter, Janet L. Pinkerton of Greenfield; nine grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great grandchild; one brother, Dale (Sharon) Fullmer of Bradford; one sister, Isabel Elain Marlow of Bradford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and LeRoy Walls; two stepchildren, Ralph Seely and Vicki Noll; and both parents.
Funeral service will be held noon Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery with military rites to be provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service with Veterans Appreciation Service to begin at noon.
