David J. Winegar, 74, of Leesburg, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

He was born on Feb. 9, 1938 in Highland County, the son of the late W. David and Roma B. Parshall Winegar.

On Aug. 31, 1963, he married the former Carol McCloskey and she survives.

Also surviving are one son, Steve Winegar of Leesburg; one daughter, Sandra (Brad) Fetters of Leesburg; and two step-granddaughters, Courtney and Charity Fetters.

He was a 1956 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School. He retired as a machinist with Hobart Manufacturing in Hillsboro with 33 years of service. He served in the United States Air Force Reserves. He was a member of the Greenfield Antique Tractor and Machinery Club and the Paint Valley Antique Machinery Club.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield, with the Rev. Larry Edgington officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
