Darla June Greif, 69, of Washington D.C., formerly of Mowrystown, passed away Nov. 26, 2011.
She was born May 19, 1942, the daughter of the late Donald and Pauline Fenwick.
Darla grew up in Mowrystown and graduated from Whiteoak High School in 1960. That same year, she married her high school sweetheart, Russell DeVore. She moved and spent most of her life in Central Florida, where she continued her education over the years to earn a master’s degree as a nurse practitioner. She spent her final years near Washington D.C. with her daughter, Ronda DeVore.
She is survived by her mother, Pauline Fenwick; daughter, Ronda DeVore; ex-husbands Stanley Rosenberg and Arthur Greif; stepchildren Jon Rosenberg, Elisabeth Devos, Deborah Michaud, Rebecca Houle, Peter Greif and Kathy Greif; and many grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell DeVore.
A memorial service will be held at the Living Springs Community Church (formerly Methodist Church), 18 N. High Street, Mowrystown at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.
