Daniel Henry “Butch” Farmer, Jr., 53, of Lynchburg, died Thursday morning, May 17, 2012 at his home.
He was born Jan. 1, 1959 in Wilmington, the son of the late Daniel Henry Farmer, Sr. and Sara Griffith Farmer of Lynchburg.
Butch was an employee of the Hanson Corporation for 35 years.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tammy Bailey Farmer of Greenfield; two children, Jeremiah Farmer of Fayetteville and Katie Farmer of Dayton; one sister, Jenny (Glenn) Cromer of Hillsboro; and three nieces, Brandi Cromer of Crescent Springs, Ky., Shelby Cromer of Lynchburg and Sydney Cromer of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Denny Sue Farmer.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, May 21 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
