Daniel C. Anderson, 80, of Wilmington passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.

He was born May 14, 1932 in Virginia, Minn., the son of the Rev. Clarence R. and Viola A. (Swenson) Anderson.

On June 23, 1952 in Wilmington, he married Charlotte Michael-Anderson, who died Feb. 25, 2002.

He retired as a truck driver for International Harvester and had been a taxi driver in Wilmington for many years.

He was a member of the Ada Chapel, the Wilmington VFW Post #6710 and a former member of the Wilmington Eagles Aerie 1224.

Surviving are: three sons, Michael Anderson of Hillsboro, Danny Bruce (Gerri Gray) Anderson of Wilmington, and Paul Edward Anderson, Washington Court House; four daughters, Lori (Dave) Conger of Wilmington, Joni (Russell) Fair of Wilmington, Mary Lisa (Jon) Whitehead of Wilmington, and Karen Jean (Earl) Johnston of Wilmington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Joan) Anderson of San Diego, Calif.; and three sisters, Miriam Olsen of Little Falls, Minn., Mary Coppersmith of Minneapolis, Minn., and Grace Jaeger of Bloomington, Minn.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Lcust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington.

Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington.

The Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will accord full military honors.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 at the funeral home.
