Dana R. Storer, 59, of Hillsboro, died Monday evening, Aug. 8, 2011 at his residence.  
He was born Nov. 30, 1951, in Wilmington, a son of the late Homer L. Storer and Mildred L. (Garringer) Storer Cochrane of Hillsboro.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Angel E. Blevins and her husband Jack of Hillsboro, with whom he made his home; two grandchildren, Alicia Hixson of Cleveland and Brandi Blevins of Hillsboro; three step grandchildren, Brandy Price of Hillsboro, Toni Blevins of Cleveland and Josh Blevins of Hillsboro; a great granddaughter, Bella Jacob, and a step great granddaughter, Savannah Price; one brother, Donald E. (Carolyn) Storer of Washington C.H.; a special aunt, Helen Pait of Florida;  a nephew, Daniel A. (Carol) Storer of Waynesville, and two nieces, Tracy (Eric) Riffle of Washington C.H. and Ashley C. Storer of Whitewater Springs, West Virginia.  
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Storer and his step-father, Milton Cochrane.   
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.  Pastor Dan Mayo will officiate.  Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg.  Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.
