Crystal Rains, 69, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Aug. 26, 1941, the daughter of the late John William Henry and Eliza Jane (Goins) Harrison.
She worked at the Clermont Mercy Hospital and was an avid supporter of the St. Jude Hospital.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Leonard Scott and April Rains of Hillsboro; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Gilmore of Hillsboro, Teresa "Terri" and Tim Brannan of Hillsboro and Sandy and Robert Vernon DeBusk, Jr. of Hillsboro; friend, Joey Rickett of Hillsboro; two brothers, Mike Harrison and Johnny Harrison, both of Cincinnati; one sister, Barb Blankenship of Hillsboro; companion, Jerry Glenn of Seaman; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. Rains, on June 13, 1988; one son, Elzie Leon Rains; three brothers, Arthur, Dewitt and Ray Harrison; one sister, Margaret McAllister; and one son-in-law, Lee Humphrey.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday,
Aug. 26, 2011 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Rev. Randall Goble officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Chapel Cemetery near Sinking Spring.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
