     Clifton Chamblin, 78, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Greenfield Area Medical Center.
     He was born Dec. 23, 1931 in Adams County, the son of the late H. Floyd and Elsie Pearl (Lewis) Chamblin.
     He was retired from the Print Shop in Washington C.H. and was formerly employed at the Letter Shop in Greenfield. He was a charter member of the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield and was an avid singer of gospel music, which he had performed in many different groups. He was a member of the Good Shepherd United Brethren Church of Greenfield. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
     He is survived by his wife, Charlotte E. (Lowe) Chamblin, whom he married Sept. 12, 1950; a son, Michael V. (Susan) Chamblin of Washington C.H.; a daughter, Sharon E. (Jon) Martin of Pavillion, Wyo.; four grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Chamblin, Amy (Chad) Roberts, Josh Martin, and Jenny (Nate) Schrucker; two great-grandchildren, Audrey Chamblin and Caleb Roberts; two step-grandchildren, Kim (Ken) Wilson and Jason Evans; three step great-grandchildren, Austin, Rheid, and Rhiannon; a brother, Jim (Joanne) Chamblin, of Greenfield; a niece, Judy (Ed) Morrison; three nephews, Paul Edwin Chamblin, Jon Chamblin, and Tyler Chamblin; two brothers-in-law, Garrett (Sherry) Lowe and Tony Lowe; two sisters-in-law, Sue (Don) Moore and Darlene Riddle; and a host of friends.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Chamblin; a sister-in-law, Esta Chamblin; and a brother-in-law, Raymond Riddle.
     Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Good Shepherd United Brethren Church of Greenfield with Pastor Mike Anderson and Rev. Jon Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery, with military rites to be performed by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield. A visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Good Shepherd United Brethren Church with veterans' appreciation services to be held at 8 p.m.
