Charles William "Bill" Hodge, 80, of Greenfield, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011 at Edgewood Manor in Greenfield.
He was born Jan. 14, 1931 in Rainsboro, the son of John and Ruth (Cook) Hodge.
Mr. Hodge was a graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and a former state employee, working in park maintenance at Fort Hill State Park. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Bainbridge American Legion Post.
Mr. Hodge is survived by one son, Michael (Vickie) Hodge of Peebles; three daughters, Lisa (Tim) Baxter of Bainbridge, Teresa (Rex) Leeth of Leesburg and Mindy (Ronnie) Brown of Leesburg; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Mae Losey of Greenfield and Wanda Austin of Bainbridge; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 at the Roads Cemetery in Rainsboro. Military rites will be conducted by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
There will be no visitation, but there will be a gathering of friends and family at the Grange Hall in New Martinsburg at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
