Charles R. Grice, 82, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at his home.

He was born September 26, 1929 in Ross County, the son of the late Harry L. and Nelle Brookover Grice.

Charlie was a 1947 graduate of McClain High School. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from the U.S. Post Office where he was a mail carrier in Greenfield for many years. He married the former Romona Higgins on Dec. 23, 1951, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 2009.

He is survived by two daughters, Pam (Danny) Stuckey and Kim (Ed Rolfe) Oiler, both of Greenfield; one granddaughter, Andrea (Shane) McKinley; two great-grandchildren, Rylie and Hanna McKinley; one nephew, Rick Grice of Medina.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one brother, Lewis Grice.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield with Pastor Roger Newkirk and Bob Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
