Charles Harper, 82, of Winchester, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011 at Hospice of Blue Ash.

He was born in Adams County, on May 4, 1929, the son of the late Harrison and Nellie (Coldiron) Harper.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Freda (Lanter) Harper, who died in 2006; six brothers, Kenneth Harper, Jim Harper, Jack Harper and Bob Harper; two infant brothers; and three sisters, Alberta Nelson, Leona Lamb and Mildred Allen.

He attended Wesley Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William Steve and Judith Harper of Winchester; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Robert Workman of Hillsboro; one brother, Stan Harper of Winchester; three sisters, Lucille Hutter of Versailles, Ind., Betty Sautter of Seaman, and Susie Copas of Winchester; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and three sisters-in-law, Florence Conn, Louise Harper, and Donna Harper.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester, with the Rev. Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
