Charles G. “Bud” Taylor, 86, of Greenfield, died at 6 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at Serenity Haven Care Center, Frankfort.
He was born Dec. 6, 1925 in Bainbridge, the son of the late Burch and Nellie Belle St. Clair Taylor. On Dec. 4, 1951, he married the former Jeanette Perdue, who survives.
Bud retired as an electrician with the IBEW – Chillicothe. He was a 1944 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School, and he attended Good Shepherd United Brethren Church.
He is also survived by three daughters, Sandra (Wendell) George of Greenfield, Linda (Ed) Barton of Frankfort and Penny Taylor (Phil Minteer) of Greenfield; 13 grandchildren, Todd Cokonougher, Amy Cokonougher, Beth Manbeavers, Melissa (Chip) Anderson, Mindy (Boomer) Royse, David (Shawn) Olaker, Bart Barton, Brandon (Jennifer) Barton, Jennifer (Jeff) Miller, Heather (Chet) Gibson, Ben Howard, Chris (Helena) Howard and Jody Watson; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Kathleen Everhart of Greenfield.
He was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Lyndey Olaker.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 27, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Gilboa Cemetery, New Petersburg, where military honors will be accorded by the Highland County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling hours will be held Monday from 9 a.m. to the time of the service.
