Charles E. Rankin, Sr., 57, of Seaman, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010. 
He was born May 3, 1953 in Jamestown, the son of the late Delbert and Bertha (Wolford) Rankin. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Ray Rankin; one brother, Howard Rankin; and one step-brother, Jerry Davis.
On May 18, 1976, he was united in marriage to Faye (Evans) Rankin who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Bertha Rankin, of Peebles; two sons, Charles E. Rankin, Jr. and Robby Rankin, both of Seaman; three grandchildren, Luke Dillon, Shyanna Dillon, and Riddick Rankin; one brother, David Pistole of Alabama; one sister, Marilyn Bowens of Peebles; and special nephew Dakota Evans of Peebles.
Chuck loved to fish and play pool and was an avid musician.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring. 
Burial will follow in the Louisville Cemetery. 
Friends may call on Friday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
