Charles C. Lindsey, 85, of Washington C.H., died Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Court House Manor in Washington C.H.

He was born Nov. 7, 1926 in Springfield, the son of the late Lorin and Pearl (Coulter) Lindsey.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Lindsey.

He was a member of the Conaway Chapel Methodist Church and attended the Grace Community Church in Washington C.H.

He retired from Ferno-Washington.

On Aug. 16, 1952, he was united in marriage to Glenna (Tener) Lindsey, who survives. He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Russell Keith and Debra Lindsey of Washington C.H.; two grandchildren, Jay Russell Lindsey and fiance’ Jessica Daniels of Washington C.H. and Candis (Javin) Thomas of Wilmington; three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Willa Jean Coulter of Washington C.H., Martha and Eugene Herdman of Locust Grove, and Elizabeth and Bob Fulton of Hillsboro; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Phil Fulton will officiate with burial to follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
