Cecilia Marie Cox, 50, of Highland, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at her family home in East Monroe.
She was born May 22, 1961 in Greenfield, the daughter of Fred Berdean and Telytha Maud Baker Cox.
She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro and had been the Director of Assisted Living at Highland House in Hillsboro.
She is survived by five children, Darcy (Shannon) Taylor of Leesburg, Cheryl (Eric) Legge of Erlanger, Ky., Megan (Robin) Gardner of Liberty Township, Zack Kier of Hillsboro, and Lexie Cox of Highland; her father, Fred Cox of East Monroe; grandchildren, Phoenix, Zane, and Kiera Taylor, and Liliana and Grant Gardner; siblings Teresa Cagg of Leesburg, Vicky Hodge of Wilmington, Dean (Cindy) Cox of Highland, Joe (Marcella) Cox of Leesburg, Laura (Web) Young of Greenfield, Pam (Warren) Hester of Leesburg, Cindy (Rick) Simmons of Leesburg, and Trudy (Dave) Howland of Highland; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Telytha Cox.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield. Father Mike Paraniuk will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16 at the Turner Funeral Home, Leesburg.
