Caroline B. Rhoads, 94, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Highland District Hospital.

She was born Dec. 14, 1917 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Benson F. and Mary Morris Bussey.

Mrs. Rhoads was a homemaker, a 1936 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a member of the Hillsboro First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children, Christine (Bob) Storer of Hillsboro and Ben (Judy) Rhoads of Madeira; five grandchildren, Vicki Storer of Hillsboro, Kim (Jeff) Johnson of Hillsboro, Tylor (Tyra) Rhoads of Columbia, S.C., Ryan (Katie) Rhoads of Loveland and Whitney (Angela Jarecki) Rhoads of the USAF Omaha, Neb.; eight great-grandchildren, Shelby and Sydney Bobbitt, Stephanie and J.D. Johnson and Colton, Cora, Benson and Charlotte Rhoads; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Howard A. Rhoads, on June 7, 2006; and by three sisters, Ruth Burton, Charlotte Murray and Katherine “Kate” Day.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rick Murray will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillsboro First Baptist Church, 127 South West Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
