Carole L. Cooper, 64, of Leesburg, died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Adena Greenfield Medical Center.

She was born May 3, 1948 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Owen and Eula Ishmeal Snedigar Bailey.

Carole was a graduate of Hillsboro High School.  

She was married to James C. Cooper, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2007.

She is survived by two sons, James (Theresa) Lightner of Leesburg and Mike (Melissa) Lightner of Paris, Ky.; five grandchildren, Jessica Lightner Rhodes, Shelbylyn Lightner, T.J. Lightner, Ryan White and Zachery Lightner; one sister; Wanda Braun of Monroe, Ohio; and one brother; Randy (Cindy) Bailey of Maysville, Ky.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield, where a funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Rev. Terry Washburn will officiate the service. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 18 at 12:30 p.m. at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery at Nicholasville, Ky.
