Carl E. Colburn, 73, of Piketon, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at the Pike Community Hospital.
He was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Five Points, a son of the late Irvin and Mae (Jester) Colburn.
He was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by a daughter, Carla J. Evans, of Bainbridge; two grandsons, Aaron and Chris Evans; several step-children; a brother, Donald (Stella) Colburn of Tarlton; two sisters, Maxine (Jim) Elliott of Chillicothe and Donna Graves of Washington C.H.; a sister-in-law, Lola Colburn of Ashville, and a former son-in-law, Johnny Evans of Bainbridge; as well as other extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Bill, Ray, and George Colburn; and sisters, JoAnn Wilson and Mary Coy Colburn.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Madison Mills Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
