Brenda Sue Jones, 67, of Martinsville, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at The Laurels of Blanchester.

She was born at Wolfe County, Ky. on Dec. 24, 1944, the daughter of Alton and Lola (Banks) Hammond.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Lynn Jones; three brothers, Lonnie, Jim and Gary Hammond; and four sisters, Jo Hammond, Christa Jenkins, Ruby Gay Wallace and Patricia Banner.

She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Barbara Jones of Waynesville, Greg Jones of Blanchester, Brad and Kay Jones of Tennessee, Chris and Tammy Jones of Clarksville, Matthew and Tina Jones of Wilmington; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and James Estell of Morrow; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Naomi Hammon and Mike and Delpha Hammond; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane Stamper, Marie Ernst, Pricilla Barnet, Brab and Charlie Gumz, Mary and Kenny Montgomery and Terri and Dave Pack; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Greg Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home.
