Bobby Victor Baldwin, 87, of Eaton, formerly of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the Vancrest Nursing Center in Eaton.

He was born Nov. 1, 1924 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Charles O. and Jesse C. Shanks Baldwin.

Mr. Baldwin had been a school teacher for Greenfield McClain Schools for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Boston United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion Post in Eaton, and a member of the Hillsboro Elks Lodge #361.

He is survived by two children, Brenda Wright of Eaton and Charles (Ellen) Baldwin of Worthington; five grandchildren, Paige (Steve) Naudascher of Eaton, Ross (Kate) Baldwin of Columbus, Bryan (Beth) Wright of Eaton, Brad (Kelli) Wright of West Alexandria, and Grant (Beth) Baldwin of Austin, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren, Rebecca Wright, Madeline Wright, Hannah Leeper, Emma Leeper, Sophia Naudascher, Brandan Wright, Tyler Wright, Katelyn Wright, Fox Baldwin, and Abigail Baldwin; and one brother-in-law, Don Richard Wisecup of Bangs, Texas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Wisecup Baldwin on Dec. 8, 2006; two sisters, Thelma Rogers and Mary West; and five brothers, Col. Orville Baldwin, Chester Baldwin, Howard Baldwin, Billy Baldwin and Donald Baldwin.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Janie Shoemaker will officiate. Burial, with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard, will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from noon-2 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
