Betty E. Throckmorton, 79, of Greenfield, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born Oct. 12, 1932 in Miamisburg, the daughter of Ralph and Nellie (Shell) Schoonover.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Throckmorton is survived by one son, Rodney (Tonya) Throckmorton of Greenfield; two daughters, Dawn (fiance Dan Hapner) Throckmorton Banks of Bainbridge and Tammy (Bill) Carr of New Lebanon; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Throckmorton, on Dec. 24, 1994; one daughter, Melody Canterbury; two sisters, Anita Tipton and Janet Powell; and both parents.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24 at the Gilboa Cemetery near New Petersburg with pastor Jeff Adams officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.
