Ann Fenner Williams, 62, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012.

She was born Sept. 7, 1949 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Dr. Walter H. and Velma E. (Walker) Fenner.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne, Dwayne, Gene and Ralph Fenner; and one sister, Donna Ferrell.

Ann was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. Upon graduation on March 1, 1968, went to work for then Highland County Treasurer Herschel Creed. Upon his retirement, Ann served Highland County as its treasurer from June 3, 1980 until her retirement on Sept. 30, 2006. Ann was a member of the Dunn's Chapel Methodist Church and served as secretary/treasurer of the Dunn's Chapel Cemetery Association and was a member of the Highland County Democratic Party, Highland County Farm Bureau, Highland County Cattlemen's Association and F.O.E. Hillsboro Ladies Auxiliary Aerie #1161.

Ann is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Kenny McGuire of Lynchburg; one granddaughter, Abby McGuire; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary C. and Carl Linn of Greenfield and Doris L. and Tony Younker of Hillsboro; three sisters-in-law, Aletha Fenner, Harriet Fenner and Eleanor Fenner, all of Hillsboro; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

John Porter will officiate with burial to follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
