Alice Ellen (McKinney) McIntosh, 88, of Hillsboro, (native of Brown County) died on May 2, 2012.

She was born Feb. 21, 1924 in Brown County, the daughter of the late Vern A. and Zella McKinney.

She was the former owner of McIntosh Winery. She was also a retired legal secretary with the Warner National Company. She was a member of the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (John) Ramler of Highland Heights, Ky.; brother, Carroll (Johanna) McKinney of Leesburg; sister, Venus Kusnerus of Wichita, Kan.; grandson, Brian Ramler of Florence, Ky.; niece, Suzie McKinney of Stuart, Fla.; and nephews, Kenneth Geeslin of Athens, Texas and Wendall Kusnerus of Portland, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Zella McKinney; sister, Mary Geeslin; and nephew, Phillip Kusnerus. 

There will be a gathering of friends and family from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012, Egbert Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the New Harmony Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Alice's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
