Winter weather advisory in effect – again

The National Weather Service has issued another winter weather advisory for Highland and surrounding counties from 8 p.m. Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday.

Snow is expected, with new snow accumulations of one to two inches.

Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.

Forecast

Tonight – A chance of snow showers or flurries before midnight, then snow showers, mainly after midnight. Low around 13. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Thursday – A chance of snow showers, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 21. Northwest wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 12. West wind 8 to 11 mph.

Friday – Partly sunny, with a high near 28. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Friday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 13. Calm wind.

Saturday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 34.

Saturday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 18.

Sunday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 39.

Sunday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Monday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 47.
