Wilmington OSHP Post investigating fatal crash
Wilmington – The Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash. The crash occurred on Sept. 22 at approximately 2:20 p.m. on state Route 132 northeast of state Route 133 in Vernon Township, Clinton County.
The preliminary investigation showed a 1988 Chevrolet GMT 400 truck, operated by Kyle Hensley, 45, of Clarksville, was traveling northeast on state Route 132. A 2016 Ford F650 U-Haul truck, operated by Jeremy Wedmore, 36, of Batavia, was traveling southwest on S.R. 132. The vehicle operated by Hensley traveled left of center and struck Wedmore’s vehicle head-on. Hensley’s vehicle came to rest in the roadway, and Wedmore’s vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway.
Hensley sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was declared deceased at the scene.
Wedmore did not sustain any injuries.
Jacob Henderson, 30, of Milford, a passenger in Wedmore’s vehicle, was also uninjured as a result of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Clinton - Warren Joint Fire District, Clinton County Coroner’s Office, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
