Ohio State Highway Patrol OVI checkpoint results in zero arrests

Mount Orab – The Ohio State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Mount Orab Police Department and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office conducted an OVI checkpoint on US 68 in the Village of Mount Orab, Brown County on July 18 from 9-11 p.m. 

A total of 398 vehicles were checked with zero vehicles being diverted for suspicion of OVI.

No drivers were determined to be under the influence and no one was arrested for OVI.

In addition to the actual checkpoint officers, additional troopers and officers from participating agencies conducted saturation patrols in the area before and after the checkpoint. Saturation units made two arrests for driving under the influence. 

Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
