Ohio State Highway Patrol OVI checkpoint nets zero arrests

WILMINGTON – The Ohio State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Wilmington Police Department, Blanchester Police Department, and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office conducted an OVI checkpoint on U.S. 22 in the city of Wilmington in Clinton County on Aug. 22 8-10 p.m. 

A total of 951 vehicles were checked.

No drivers were determined to be under the influence.

In addition to the actual checkpoint officers, additional officers from participating agencies conducted saturation patrols in the area before and after the checkpoint.

Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
