Highland County Sheriff’s Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.    

Feb. 13

A deputy while on patrol in Union Twp. observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on state Route 73. The deputy followed the vehicle which turned on to Mad River Road and continued westbound at a high rate of speed. The deputy witnessed the vehicle pull into a driveway in the 10000 block of Mad River Road. After investigation, a male admitted to being the driver that fled from the deputy. Bruce E. Loyd, 73, of New Vienna was arrested and charged with failure to comply with an officer, and speeding.

Feb. 14
 
A resident of the 12000 block of Lakeside Drive reported a domestic disturbance. After investigation, Jason E. Jenkins, 55, of Greenfield, was charged with domestic violence, and having weapons while intoxicated.

A deputy while on patrol in Clay Twp. observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on state Route 138 at a high rate of speed. After attempting to catch up with the vehicle, the vehicle turned on to Certier Road and continued at a high rate of speed until pulling into a driveway on Certier Road and coming to a stop. The driver was identified as Lawrence M. Stevens III, 21, of Sardinia. Stevens was cited for reckless operation and speeding.

Kendra R. Niswander, 24, of Peebles, disorderly conduct.

June T. McKillop, 49, of Amelia, failure to appear.

Frank K. Beighley Jr., 32, of Hillsboro, probation violation.

Anthony M. Hooks Jr., 35, of Leesburg, probation violation.
