Highland County Sheriff’s Report

These incidents have been reported by the HCSO.

March 16

A deputy responded to the 5900 block of state Route 247 after a report of a possible domestic disturbance. After investigation, Mark A. Rand, 49, of Hillsboro, was charged with domestic violence.

Deputies responded to the 10000 block of Candy Cane Lane, after a 911 call was received from a female stating her son was going to harm her. After arriving on scene and determining no one was at the residence, attempts to locate the caller and her vehicle were requested from adjacent counties. A deputy on patrol in Brushcreek Twp. Located the caller’s vehicle and performed a traffic stop. After investigation, Larry R. Parsley III, 21, of Hillsboro, was arrested and charged with domestic violence.

March 17
 
A resident of the 6600 block of Haggerty Road reported bank fraud.

A deputy responded to the 8700 block of US Route 62 after a report of a burglary. This incident remains under investigation.

A resident of N. High St, Mowrystown reported a disorderly person. After investigation, James D. Freeman Jr., 59, of Mowrystown, was charged with disorderly conduct.
