DeWine appoints Dinkelacker to Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has announced the appointment of Leah Dinkelacker to the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, General Division.

Dinkelacker, of Cincinnati, will assume office on March 24, 2025, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Justice Megan Shanahan. Dinkelacker will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and will need to run for election in November 2026 to retain the seat.

Dinkelacker began her law career in 2009 where she served as a constable for Judge Robert C. Winkler and Judge Steven E. Martin. In 2012, she served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office and currently serves as an assistant chief of the juvenile division.

In 2008, Dinkelacker received a bachelor's degree in business from Miami University. She received her juris doctorate from Northern Kentucky University in 2011.
