Biden pardons Fauci, Milley, House members
President Joe Biden has pardoned Dr. Anthony Fauci, retired Gen. Mark Milley and members of the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
“The issuance of these pardons should not be mistaken as an acknowledgment that any individual engaged in any wrongdoing, nor should acceptance be misconstrued as an admission of guilt for any offense,” Biden said in a statement.

Pardons Are A Legal Potus Right And Politically Motivated
The law provides any Potus this right. Trump was clearly out to seek revenge from certain comments he made. Ford pardoned Nixon despite Nixon was never charged with any crimes related to Watergate. Trump even wanted Milley executed for treason. Preemptive move by Biden.
Pardons cannot be overturned. Doubt if the Constitution will ever be changed. The power to pardon is a powerful political tool. It can be misused depending on the different opinions of the American people. Regardless of convictions ajudicated as guilty or charges never brought. My opinion is it degrades and ignores the equality of our judicial system which is suppose to be blind. It favors the powerful and well connected. Trump promised the DOJ would not be weaponized. Biden apparently felt that promise might be broken. Like Ford, he protected these three from political persecution. Related is the January 6, 2021 participants found guilty or plead guilty. Those who assaulted law enforcement may be pardoned. This is a dangerous precedent. Trump however can issue pardons for even the most serious offenders. As stated today by 47, we are entering the "Golden age of America." Time will tell. I am leary of almost every Trump promise. How do I have faith with his comment "they are eating the cats and dogs" in the debate with VP Harris. That comment was debunked as false. All hat, no cattle showmanship. More shocking is how many supporters believed it as totally factual. For the record, I was not a Biden supporter. My net worth increased during his tenure in four years of retirement. Thanks Joe! Hopefully, "the trend is my friend" with Trump.

What has Trumped gained since 2015?
President Trump did not run for Office to become rich and famous. He was already rich and famous, thanks to NBC, Democrats, and NYC politicians. Since 2016, millions upon millions of Americans support him because we were long overdue for and outsider to shake up the current corrupt system(s). He has delivered on a myriad of his campaign promises. Imagine that? Trump has earned more votes than any American, ever.... Let that sink in lefties. Why is that? Could it be that he wants to reform that out-of-control federal government? Or does a 78 year-old billionaire want to be abused by the legacy news media, career politicians, and the old hags on the View? He was shot in July for just giving a campaign speech. He was stalked and targeting in September on a golf course, because some left-wing radical had some TDS vendetta against him. At what point do Democrats' liberals, and progressive accept the fact that President Trump is the leader that most Americans have been waiting for? No more wishy washy, wringing their hands, milquetoast charlatans. Obama did not lower the sea levels. Climatologist Algore could not win his home state. John F-ing Kerry threw someone else's Medal over the WH fence in protest and lives off his wife's fortune. Kamala had too much wine and spoke in with too many salads. Pre-emptive pardons may have been illegal in 2020, I don't know. But since they are now "offical acts" it's a mute point.

I agree with Rory Ryan. I have already done all the homework I have been required to do for an arbitrary grade in any and all state-sanctioned settings. If some weak-kneed progressive or liberal demands that I must "educate" myself or that I should get on board with the democrat program... Matthew Your Assumptions Are Incorrect Once Again
I vote my wallet and portfolio over any political cause. Trump voter in CA. 2016. Same in OH 2020. Nixon resigned August, 1974 under pressure. I never had COVID. Followed the science.
Not any political party opinion for or against. Not any religous leader of any faith. Four vaccines. Only a few people I know who did not get COVID. No respect for Milley. Calling for execution was an extreme. Liz Cheney was more of a whistle blower in my opinion. I doubt she would be indicted on any charges. I did state I am not in favor of pardons. That applies to the others. I register GOP in the primaries. I support certain Democratic values. And Rebuplican values. As I have stated before, I abhor extreme left and extreme right values. I did benefit working and in retirement from 2017 tax cuts. I prefer it expires because the cost to the national debt is estimated at 4.5 trillion. And I do better under the prior tax laws. Letting it expire and calling it a tax increase is not appropriate. It was my understanding it was to be temporary. Add in COVID stimulus under Trump and continued by Biden created too much of an increase in the money supply. Add in the Payroll Protection money too. Then Federal reserve rate cuts under Powell and Yellen's fiscal mistakes and we got inflation. And Powell called the inflation transitory. Which he later admitted was a mistake.
I lost Trump on January 6, 2021. I think he should have called off his supporters. His name calling and bully style does not appeal to me. Surely I will be commenting frequently this 2nd term. Trump overpromises and under delivers. IMHO.

Clarification
I really don't know what "portfolio" means. I have visited several liberty ports in Mediterranean when I was a young man. Is a portfolio a 4-day shore leave in Italy? I've been to Trieste and Naples twice and moored up in Sicily one weekend. I'm so proud of you that "Followed the science." I assume that you meant to write, "I followed the science." The subject of a sentence is kind of important for the reader to understand the gist of the statement. Anyway, during that time I really didn't follow the science, the protocols, or the ever-changing policies. I was in the hot zone from day one. And I waited to test positive at some point. It was inevitable. In July 2020, I lost my taste on a Sunday. I tested positive for the dreaded covid. I may have had a high temp one night, but by Friday my taste came back. I still had 11 days left before I was allowed back in the hot zone. So.... I needed to getaway. I went to the Smokies. I went to Kings Mountain and Cowpens. I went to Chickamauga and Chattanooga. Then I was back home after a 3-day getaway, twiddling my thumbs for a few more days, perfectly healthy, before I was permitted to return back to work, according to the science. In July of 2022, I tested positive again for a little more severe case of covid. But some acetaminophen, and a liter of saline from an IV on the day of diagnosis, and I felt better. But I still had to wait 5 days before I reported back to work again for another round of countless double shifts and following more the "science."
I did pray for the afflicted and for the Country during the past 5 years. I have always tried to follow the Great Commission: Go and make Disciples of all Nations... If you're familiar. All things being equal, I'd rather follow the Gospels than follow the so-called "science" from the government, Fauci, Algore, John F. Kerry, or Bill Nye the "science guy."

Try Google if you do not know what a "portfolio" is. There are several definitions. My portfolio is a financial one, primarily stocks, money market funds, ETF's, and CD's. Most is several retirement accounts. Some is taxable and some is tax free. To tap when Social Security and my CA Pension payments fall short some months. Or are cut. My portfolio also includes equity in vacant land and equity in a new home. A well balanced mixture of assets. Most financial planners would agree. Do not rely solely on Social Security and pensions of any type. Put different eggs in the retirement basket. As to COVID, I quote the opinion of Brad Wenstrup at a GOP event few years ago. It is between you and your doctor. A new added twist on my positions. My belief was stated I opposed pardons. The pardon of the protester who killed a law enforcement officer is a dangerous precendent. JD Vance stated it would not be appropriate. Yet not surprised the home grown anti government groups backing Trump got a pass and an endorsement. Free reign to terrorize others who disagree them. Will the next member of these groups who kills an opposition protester get a pardon? Will rumors of convicted felon Larry Householder of HB 6 scandal get a pardon? Will the two First Energy executives in the HB 6 mess recieve pardons before appearing in the court room? Seriously undermining our Federal justice system. Any thing is possible now.

Which protestor killed which law enforcement officer? The only person killed at the Capitol on 1-6-21 was Air Force Veteran Ashli Babbitt. She was shot and killed by a Capitol Police Officer. The only offense she may have been in the progress of doing was trespassing. And she paid for that indiscretion with her life. Killed by an over-zealous federal agent. That federal agent faced no charges or punishment. But some career criminal like George Floyd received a State Funeral by democrats in 2020, just because he was killed by an officer.
