McClain 2nd, Hillsboro 3rd at Buckeye Hills in FAC No. 4 event

The fourth installment of the Frontier Athletic Conference matches took place on Thursday (Aug. 24) at Buckeye Hills Country Club, where Miami Trace won the event.

Miami Trace won with a score of 221, followed by McClain at 224 for second place. In third was Hillsboro at 230.

The rest of the team results included Washington (236). Jackson and Chillicothe didn’t have a team score.

FAC standings through four matches are: McClain (17-3), Miami Trace (16-4), Hillsboro (12-8), Washington (6-14), Jackson (7-13) and Chillicothe (0-20).

For McClain, scores included: sophomore Kaylin Sterling (50), junior Abbie Lovett (56), sophomore Reese Roble (59), sophomore Avery Murphy (59), senior Jacolyn Bolender (61) and junior Kallie Posey (62).

Hillsboro was led by junior Emma Yochum (50), followed by sophomore Rylea Scarberry (56), junior Amani Cumberland (61), junior Halle Jones (63), sophomore Reagan Leeth (68) and junior Addy Knauff (69).
