Remembering John and Jean Carson

To the editor:
After over 30 years with the agency in Highland County, I will soon be retiring from the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center.
During the past several weeks, I have reflected on many people – staff and clients.
Two wonderful people stand out, John and Jean Carson. Both were instrumental in starting and maintaining mental services in Highland County.
Those of us fortunate enough to have known John and Jean easily remember their spirit and compassion. Community mental health benefited from being one of their many missions.
Often history is lost, and I wanted to reflect and share some community history and remember some friends from days gone by.
Sincerely,
Joe Herrington
