Issues with lake association
To the editor:
As residents of the Enchanted Hills Association, we would like to comment on a recent opinion.
We are neither misguided, nor disgruntled; but yes, we are quite vocal, because we are opposed to the proposed new covenants, restrictions, and increase in dues and fees.
There is a Common Pleas Court hearing scheduled to address these issues at the end of this month.
Our information is supported by written documentation, personal accounts, and a court order, which is neither incorrect, nor misleading.
Our agenda is for our best interest, unlike what has been demonstrated to us by the president and the board of the Enchanted Hills Association.
Our membership dues are not to be used to pay for personal legal fees for the president of the association. We are asking the members not to be taken in by the association, in regards to the fate of their trash if they don’t use the association’s trash site. This has been their ploy to raise dues.
They state they are currently paying $7,900 yearly for trash removal. They are still imposing an “emergency” fee of an extra $15 per member for what they say is a cost increase for the trash. If you take 500 members times $15 that comes to an additional $7,500. Where is the emergency?
There are no amenities offered within the association. They were arbitrarily removed years ago. What do the members actually receive for
their dues?
We will remain diligent in our vocal protests until the association starts operating in an above-board manner.
Sincerely,
Betty Clark,
Judy Keltz
