Steward wins '13 SCOL cross-country championship

This past Thursday Hillsboro's De-Andre Steward won the 2013 South Central Ohio League cross-country championship.

Steward won with a time of 16:47 at the Washington C.H. course.

The boys champion was the Chillicothe Cavaliers with a team-low score of 39 points, followed by Hillsboro in second at 40 points. The other three scores for the SCOL teams were East Clinton (100), Washington (110) and Miami Trace (122).

Other HHS boys results were: Zach Middleton (HHS), seventh, 18:01; Chase Vance (HHS), ninth, 18:28; Mackenzie Conlon (HHS), 12th, 18:42; Noah Kunce (HHS), 13th, 18:49; Gabriel Tamborski (HHS), 14th, 19:16; Micah Pinney (HHS), 20th, 20:33; Brandon Elmore (HHS), 21st, 20:51; Steven Burton (HHS), 26th, 21:19; Spencer Brown (HHS), 44th, 26:44 and Fred Green (HHS), 45th, 29:49.
