McClain volleyball defeats Hillsboro in 4 sets

The McClain varsity volleyball team defeated Hillsboro in a four-set match Thursday night in Greenfield.
In the first game of the match, there were 11 ties before McClain pulled it out at the end to win in exciting fashion, 25-23.
The Lady Indians bounced back in game two and won convincingly by a 25-12 count to even the match at one game each.
In the third game of the match, Hillsboro jumped out to an early 8-6 advantage but the Lady Tigers regrouped and outscored the Lady Indians 19-4 the rest of the way and won 25-12 to take a 2-1 lead going into game four.
The fourth game saw Hillsboro lead again early 10-7. Like before McClain caught fire at the middle of the set and used the serving of senior Hannah Crago and Anna Eikenberry at the end to win the game 25-15 and take the match, 3-1.
